The Centroplex Chapter's premier quartet is hmmm, Senior Quartet Champion for the five-state Southwestern District in 2017 and 16th best in the 2018 International Senior Quartet Finals. hmmm brings together four faces (and voices!) familiar to central Texas audiences from their performing with other groups ranging from barbershop to classical. The group has performed all around Texas as well as in several other states with one primary focus ...spreading harmony and fun wherever they go.

Quartets

Quartets are the backbone of four-part barbershop harmony ....the LEAD singing a song's melody and the deep voice of a BASS providing a firm foundation while a TENOR's higher voice harmonizes above them both and a BARITONE's mid-range voice fills in whatever notes are needed to produce the harmony so close that it makes a chord "ring" as though you can hear a fifth voice. Fun to hear, and even more fun for the singers.

Over its almost 30 years, the Centroplex Chapter has produced a long line of excellent quartets, from the Brazos Knights that performed all over central Texas for more than two decades to longtime regional "competition quartets" like Heritage Square, Gentlemen's Choice, and Noteable Gentlemen.
